Future plans?

THIS TEXT IS BASED ON INFORMATION FROM THE INTERNET, I HAVE NO PERSONAL OPINION/EXPERIENCE OF JAPAN NOR JAPANESE PEOPLE.


First, I'd like to start off with apologizing for my not-so-active nor interesting activity up til now. Like I said earlier, I've been sick and haven't had much energy at all, + I've got some mental breakdowns every now and then because of my idiotic phone and other technical issues. 


But I decided to ignore them from now on. So, on to another subject. Ever since I read a really-long-text-about-a-guy-who-lived-in-japan (the "-" thing is.. insider? I just started to use them..) I felt this urge to really start to look up things about this on Google. 
I've been worrying sick about what school I should go to after 9th grade, what I should study to, in what country I should do that in and the most important - when, at what age, would I go to Japan? (I now apologize for this text, because I think it will be pretty long and not-so-interesting to read. :P But I want to write it, so screw your opinions. You don't have to read it, you know?)

So, after reading that really-long-text-about-japan, I got a new vision at certain things. He wrote that he went to Japan when he was 20 years old, not knowing any japanese at all. I guess I admire him for that courage, because I know that I, with my weak, upside-down going selfconfidence, wouldn't be able to just take the step and pack my bags with the plane tickets in my hand. 
He went to something called "Language institute", which is a school that foreigners can attend. They learn japanese, but at a very formal level. The point with this school is that they prepare you for further studies in Japan. Something that is required is 12 years of school, which means that you have to have the basic 1-9th grade finnished + 3 years more, and I think those years are High School. (or upper secondary school, what ever you prefer to call it).
I immediately though "That's what I wanna do!"


Sure, there will be people who think I'm crazy. There will be those who basically can give me a book full of different reasons for why I should NOT go there, 85 % of them made up in frustration. I will probably regret it while sitting on the plane, because I'm the type of person who worry to much. I'll probably think "What if the plane crashes, what if mom dies while I'm there, what if my bamboo dies? What if I can't find the school, what if I didn't get that apparement after all" and so on, but that won't matter. Because I know, the moment I put my foot on Japanese ground, those thoughts will disappear. 
Sure, call me a maniac. I agree, I kind of am, to a certain degree, but I can tell you that I think my future is hell of a lot more brighter than some of the people I know. (I won't tell any names xD) At least I have dreams and hopes and plans, and there's no meaning to that if I don't make them come true, right?


I've read countless of blogs by now, searching through the whole first page after searching "foreigner in Japan" on Google. I've read that long-text-about-japan at least 5 times, trying to build up my courage as much as I can, borrowing strength from the text he wrote years ago. Now, let me remind you that there's still 4 years left until I can make anything of this come true. This is where the maniac-theory comes in. ^^


What I found, was a lot of "good things about being a foreigner in japan" and the opposite, "bad things about..." 
I didn't really get all of them, because the picture became a little blurry as they went from one point to another, first saying one thing and then disagreeing to the same thing in the next sentence. 
But this is what I got:


Good things about being a foreigner in Japan (and ofc I use my bubbles ;)<3)

• Low expectations. When you come to Japan, no matter how good you speak Japanese, or how well you know the culture, you will be "gaijin". You will belong to "them", the outsiders. You will never become "us", even if you spend years trying to understand the "japanese way of thinking". This can be a blessing as well as a curse. How frustrating isn't it to never be concidered as "us"? But as the same time, since you are "gaijin", the japanese people will not expect you to know their rituals and way of living. If you make a mistake, they will not glare at you and think your stupid. Because they already think your a clumsy, stupid foreigner. If you succeed in calling your teacher "sensei" every time you talk to him/her and say "yoroshiku onegaishimasu" and "hajimemashite" the first time talking to someone, then they will think that you are unusually smart for being a blond foreigner. But if you make a mistake while wholding the chopsticks, or eat on the subway, they will forgive you. ^^

• You are different. Go and stand in the middle of some big city in the USA and you wouldn't be noticed even if you wore a red, curly wig and were dressed in a clown outfit. Okay, I admit I'm exaggerating now, but it's almost like that. But once you go to Japan, you will see nothing but black heads, and lots people with brown, coloured hair. In school, it's forbidden to colour your hair, so of course you will stand out even more. You will be looked at because you are tall, blond and have blue eyes. You are a star, different and a bit weird. But no matter what, you will recieve a warm welcome from these polite people. :)

• If you hate your country - go to Japan. If you don't feel like home in Japan, try space. Because then you don't belong in this world. ^^ Believe mee ~

Festival..

I really wanna go to a festival right now ... ^^

I so wanna go to a festival .. not in Finland, but in Japan! I read about a few festivals/holidays they celebrate in Japan, and now I really wanna dress up in a yukata and go to a crowded festival with food, a lot of people and some really cute guys ;) ^^

If I ever make it to Japan, I'll make sure to go to a real festival. And when it's time to celebrate christmas or New year, I'll go to a shrine and pray for fortune ;) That's my dream <3 

The Japanese culture is so fascinating. I know a lot of japanese people find us foreigners with a japan obsession really irritating, but it can't be helped. I love what I love ;) But I guess I don't need to talk about it THAT much .. just enjoy in silence ..

The earthquake in Japan

I think all of you know that there was a second "big" earthquake in Japan. It was 7.4, if I remember correctly.

I don't know much about the situation, but I can tell you that Fukushima Daiichi didn't take any damage. The people in Japan are preparing to evacutate, though, and they are all buying necessities in case they have to be removed so some other place.

I pray for you, Japan! Please be safe, remember that I'll be coming in a few years!! 

Don't worry. Japan is a strong country and I really trust them in this matter. They will definitely make it through this!

Kuroshitsuji Cosplay

Kuroshitsuji is a really amazing anime show. But it's not just the show that's amazing, the fans seems to be that as well...

My family told me to turn this "camp" into something fun. I don't really see how that's even possible, concidering the fact that all they ever talk about is "The father, the son and the holy spirit".

But it's over now. And I'm soo glad about that.

Onigiri

My lunch today was Onigiri. Basically, it means "Rice Ball" and it's a really basic dish in Japan ;) It's the opposite to nigiri that means sushi!  I made them myself! *proud* I also made a few nigiris, but I don't think the fish I chose was the best -.-' I'll try with some meat next time! I'd also like to do a bento!

I still have 2 onigiris left, and those are the ones I'm gonna eat in school tomorrow :3 They were really yummy (my opinion, you might not like it..) even though they tasted pretty much like rice. I do like rice, so it wasn't so bad.

I can't believe these clothes doesn't exist in Finland .. these pictures are making me all frustrated. I'd really, really want them (Liz Lisa) to open up a shop in, for example, Helsinki. That'd be awesome. 

I'm actually the "all or nothing"-kind of person when it comes to fashion. I like really, really cute clothes (like these), and then I like tough, gangsterfeeling clothes ;) Leather, rivets and so on. You get my point. I'm not soo much into the "between those two". ;)

Back on track

I came home today ^^ Before saying bye to dad, we decided on a meeting spot at Alicante airport. That's where we're going to meet next time, in about 2½ month.

So what's up with you guys? Been well?

The spring is finally coming to Finland now, by the way! It's wonderful, cuz I hate cold, wet, snowy weather where you can't go one step outside without having your shoes ruined -.-'

If everything goes as planned, I'll be seeing this in a few years ^^ It's the famous hanami season, that only happens once a year ;)

Maybe I'll write more about hanami later on ^^

Purikura

Basically, Purikura is something that only exists on the other side of the world. (my point of view) That is .. Asia.

You take a picture of yourself (or someone else) and then you can fix the photo any way you like. If you don't know what I mean, take a look at the pictures below ^^

Sorry about the quality. Since it's not a "professional" site or anything, the quality isn't the best. But I personally love the site, and I hope you will too! Check it out, you become addicted at once! ;)

Hungry!

Someone out there that could give me some well-needed food?

I'm litterly starving, because mom won't make anything and my siblings just ate the food that was left from yesterday. So right now, there's nothing at home but some candy that I got from the third year universitystudents graduation. That's what I'm eating right now. They don't taste as good anymore, although they are pretty old.

Speaking of food .. anyone that's ever eaten a bento? It's a japanese lunchbox and usually it's made of the leftovers from the day before. Almost all of the kids in japan eats these for lunch, and I've heard that they should taste really good ^^ You can buy them in a shop, but normally it's your mother that does them.

Anyone with a plan how I can convince my mother (who's not a big asia-fan) to make some for me? :)

Japanese School

I know that I've explained this in the previous updates, but it was a bit all over the place and I don't think anyone got anything smart out of it. So that's why I decided to write about it more in detail.

When you're 6 years old, you're supposed to go to elementary school. That school is 6 years long, and when you "graduate" from that one, you go to Junior High School. It's a short school, only 3 years long, and you are 12-15 years old by that time. After that, they go to High School. That school isn't something we in Finland "have to go to" because we can choose. High School is like our gymnasie. It's something you choose if you want to attend or not. But most of the kids in Japan go to High School. They graduate when they're 18 years old.

But that wasn't what I was going to talk about. When you attend elementary school, the first things you are supposed to learn is how to write hiragana and katakana. All the kids learn these two ways in grade school, often already in grade 1. After that, they have to learn the 1006 basic kanji characters. When they start attending middle school, everyone knows these. (almost everyone..)
So the basics of kanji is something a 12 year old could learn. Really ;D

As you may know, Kanji has over 50.000 characters. Noone knows them all, I bet, because they are really hard to learn. Most of the people only knows about 2000. You learn those in Junior High School.

Jag hatar lillbrorsor. Min är en anime-besatt skitunge som inte har en IQ högre än 20, och som dessutom älskar att spela Runescape.com. Kan mitt liv bli värre?

Nyss var han inne och försökte hitta alla mina animen som jag har uppskrivna på datorn, men när jag blockade sidan (bara jag kan se den nu, sorry! Får ha det så ett tag, så linken uppe i bloggen kommer vara värdelös ...)

Nu tänker ni kanske: Varför kan inte han få se dem? Hmm.. för att han är en cp-unge med alltför litet värde i samhället för att vara värdig? Ja. Exakt. Han är inte värd att få se på alla mina underbara animen!

Like, how could I tell him about Durarara?

Meddelande till er yaoi-älskare out there som nu är glada över att ni funnit en ny anime att fördjupa er i:

Durarara är (tyvärr...) ingen yaoi-anime. Jag hade faktiskt hoppats på det lite, och jag gick på det -.-' Anyway så blev jag förvånad när det var en vanlig liten shoujo-wannabe whatever-anime. 

But don't be sad, there are a lot of sick humans in this world that likes yaoi and makes animes with that as a main genre ^^

Den är den här tiden på året som jag önskar att jag befann mig i Japan (Asien ö.h.t.). Främst eftersom allting kryllar av rosa, fluffiga saker och fina små (eller stora) hjärtan. Man tar faktiskt Alla Hjärtans Dag på riktigt stort allvar där borta, och alla flickvänner brukar ge sina pojkvänner choklad. Aww...

Och om exakt en månad är det White Day! Det är en motsvarighet för Valentines day, men för killarna. Då är det deras tur att uppvakta flickorna *mwhaaha*

Eftersom kärlek inte är tillräckligt komplicerad som den är. 

(I guess not everybody likes V-day ...)

Konnichiwa!

Igår hade jag ganska mycket att göra, därav bristen på uppdateringar. Jag hade bland annat planerat att sticka iväg ner till stan och köpa lite nya kläder, men i slutändan hittade jag bara en ny t-shirt. Så efter att ha vandrat runtomkring på stans bästa "butiksgata" för en stund, så gick jag in till en matvarubutik och köpte en vattenflaska med lime-smak. Samtidigt passade jag på att fråga kassa-tanten vart Seppelä låg. (hade totalt glömt bort det ..) Jag tänkte gå dit och se på lite jeansshorts till sommaren och samtidigt fråga efter chefen eftersom jag ska ha prao där och ville fråga lite. Men såklart var det stängt när jag kom dit, så jag bestämde mig för att istället gå till Giganti som låg direkt under. Där frågade jag efter ett skal till min Samsung Galaxy 3:a men dom hade inget, så jag gick hem. På vägen svängde jag in i K-market för att inhandla vissa speciella nudlar. ;) (Kostade 1.50 så jag köpte bara 3. Hade inte tillräckligt med pengar -.-')


Och idag har jag bara sovit. Och sett på Naruto. Rewatchar hela första delen ^^

Stressigt

Har haft en stressig, och tråkig, dag . Igen.

Stressigt för att det plötsligt dukit upp tre miljoner prov att läsa till, + att jag nyligen fick reda på (mindes) att jag skulle hålla föredrag om finska nyheter i finskan imorgon. Tror ni jag förberett mig? Noo -.-'

Så det blev liksom som det blev och jag sitter nu här med en halvfärdig text om Mubaraks torterarförsök på demonstranter och Finlands vackra, underbara forskare som tydligen kommit på något nytt sätt att bota cancer. Hurray, extremt underhållande.

Men nu ska jag se på HANA KIMI lite så kanske jag blir på bättre humör. Har en liten måste-tala-om-anime-fas nu och ingen vill lyssna på mig. Men jag har en rehabiliterargris som hjälper mig! ;D

Kom nyss hem igen efter att ha tillbringat sex, ljuvliga timmar i skolmiljö. Underbart *not*

Hur som helst har min dag varit ... okej. Inte bra, inte skitdålig heller. På gränsen mellan bad and okay. Jag har tråkigt!! Det finns inte en mänsklig själ kvar längre som förstår mina fina manga/anime-jokes, det finns inget hopp så långt ögat kan nå att få en chans att tala om hur söt man tycker Sasuke ser ut chibi-style i pyjamas. Livet har tappat sin mening ... *being over-dramatic* 

Jag försökte med ett "det finns många saker som är fel här i världen, hattis, som till exempel när en viss Oda ville döpa en lång, smal, blond typ med kick-ass martial arts skills till Naruto. Men det funka inte, så han fick heta Sanji istället! Heheheeh .. ehhe.. heh." 

No reaction what-so-ever ...

"Jenny, u get it, right?" (var fortfarande hoppfull)

SILENCE ...

Jag gav upp. Det funkade helt enkelt inte. Ingen människa delar längre den här glada, tecknade världen of mine .. GAAAH GOING CRAZY! 

Men jag fick ett oväntat solsken i vardagen när jag spelade poker med ett par typer och Jenny hängde på. Sen började en viss W att mobba henne för hennes hängselbyxor, för att hon "såg ut som en bonde". Skämtet drevs vidare lite och Jenny blev Skitarg, helt totalt. *scary*

Så hon började försöka överrösta dom med fina kommentarer (och mitt stöd, ofc, jag stod och skrattade på sidan om ...) och då sa Staffe "Ska vi gå tillbaka till tiden då bönder inte hade någon rösträtt?" 

Det brast för mig. Jag började skratta så in i hel*ete och Jenny började koka. Jag försökte säga åt henne att jag stod på hennes sida, men det gick inte så bra eftersom jag knappt kunde tala och inte se heller för den delen (tårar -.-')

Så eran dag har varit hurdan, fröknar eller herrar som möjligtvis läser det här mystiska inlägget? Frisk hoppas jag *insider-sändning/hotfullt-meddelande*

Filmen

Nu har jag sett klart filmen, och jag måste säga att jag är förvånad. Den var extremt bra!


I huvudrollerna ser man Fujiki Naohito som spelar en någorlunda högre uppsatt arbetare hos en reklambyrå. (Jag tror det är en sådan). Han har inga högre tankar om sin boss och när han av misstag råkar ta in hans dotter i sin lägenhet så bestämmer de sig båda två för att låtsas om en kidnappning. Dottern spelas av Nakama Yukie.
Allting flyter på helt bra, dom är skitsmarta båda två. Handlingen fick mig att sitta klistrad vid dataskärmen!

Hur som helst så är dom ju tekniskt sett kidnappare och offer, men det blir någon sorts form av romance mellan dem.

Skitbra film! Rekomenderas till alla över 13+ år. Helt klart värd en 10:a! Den var jättespännande, rolig och dramatisk. Dock så blev jag en aning besviken av slutet, eftersom jag brukar gilla "happy-ever-after-"endings.

Jag såg den på den här sidan! (Man behöver inte ladda ner den, utan det går att se direkt från nätet!) Filmen är på japanska, men det finns engelsk text. För er som inte kan engelska/japanska är det alltså tyvärr omöjligt att se på filmen från den här sidan. (inte säker på att den textats till svenska!)


UPDATE: Sidan jag länkade visar bara "Part 1" av filmen, alltså del 1. Det finns sammanlagt 6 delar, eftersom filmen är för lång för att kunna läggas ut hel. För att komma till nästa del, så ser ni uppe i webbadressen att det står "part-1" i adressen. Eller en annan siffra beroende på vilken del ni är på. Ni byter helt enkelt ut "1:an" mot en 2:a och så kommer ni till nästa del. Fortsätt så tills ni har kommit till 6:an!
