The name is "Fennex fox" and as you can guess from the name, it's a fox. Although, it looks more like a cat-dog-fox-hybrid. It's adorable!
I heard you have to have a permit to own one, since they are not actual pets like dogs/cats/rabbits.

Not really. It depends on the local laws. There are a lot of places where you can keep them as pets legally. However, it could be tricky to get one.
